How this is calculated
The cabinet span is the width of the cabinets themselves. The planning footprint adds the finished end panels and the countertop treatment at each exposed end, and that figure is what your available space is checked against. Based on the 1.25-inch planning thickness. Final footprint requires countertop confirmation.
